Excellent Midrange performance

This Chassis by ScanSpeak, made in Denkmark, is my Favourite Midrange Chassis for building larger Speakers (3 or more Ways). 
Crossing over by 12dB around 1000-1500 Hz and a 6 dB at about 5000-6000 Hz, this chassis excellently reproduces the finest whispers and breaths of every high quality record and perfectly matches with the Scan Speak R2604 / 833000 Tweeter.
By its high sensitivity of 92dB/2,83V, it brings enough volume to be matched with mostly every other components, usually it has to be damped a lot, since the human ear is very sentitive to frequencies between 2000-4000 Hz.
By such crossover, the Chassis is nearly undestructible on the electric way, as long as your amplifier doesnt produce clipping, but make sure your resistors can absorb enough power!
The low moving mass makes this chassis ideal for most precise reproduction of higher frequencies.
In Case design, put the chassis into a small closed volume, separated from other Chassis, so there will be no air pressure on the back of the Chassis from Bass and lower Midrange Chassis.

Pros:
- High Sensitivity, High Power Handling
- low moving mass resulting in precise midrage performance
- easy crossover design on tweeterside, since this chassis has no meantionable high frequency peaks

Cons:
- not recommendable for frequencies below 1000 Hz, due to low linear excursion
